| ARTAGNAN signs as our first winner as breeders In only his second start - his first as a 3-year-old - ARTAGNAN gave an impressive show when he won easily today a Maiden Special with 6 lengths over 5 1/2 furlongs at Woodbine. Our congratulations go to the happy owners Arthur Barkin & L. Feigman who bought the beautiful Slew City Slew-colt at the CTHS September sale 2004. Cheers to the winning trainer Reade Baker and his lovely wife Janis Maine who also saddled the runner up Lunar Rocket. Artagnan, foaled and raised at Queensvalley Farm, was already an eye catching foal. Growing up under a nurse mare - sadly, his mom Picked died - he turned into a georgous yearling and we always thought high of him. We wish owners and trainer all the luck for the future. |
