| ARTAGNAN doubles up After a fine second place finish on May 10, beaten by just half a length, the Slew City Slew-gelding seemed to like the advanced distance and beats the 2004 sales topper Shadow Rush by 4 length. Final time for the 7 furlongs allowance race was 1:23,3. Again Jim McAleney was the partner who gave him a perfect race, always on the lead together with Shadow Rush to drive clear on the stretch. ARTAGNAN has now earned $86,640, future plans are to try him on the grass. Picture winners circle |
