LIMOSANO impressive in first start 2007
Yesterday, on Friday the 13(!), Limosano made his seasonal bow in a level 1 Allowance Race (Non Winners of 2 races). Although believing that 5 furlongs might be too short for him, his entourage wanted to have him a race to gain more experience. The One Way Love gelding had a bad start and lost a few lengths and was the early trailer while the favorite Catsimile took the lead about 16 lengths in front of Limosano. Jockey Justin Stein let him find his stride and had him on the rails coming in to the stretch. When asked for more, LIMOSANO fired and was flying but could not catch Catsimile anymore who was first at the finish line. With that effort, Limosano showed that he is ready for more and that a longer distance will be more suitable. He is still eligible for the Queen's Plate and we are looking forward to his improving - "There is more in the bucket"...
Limosano has the Queenston Stakes on the agenda as his probable next start.
